I'm Gini Nelson and I got my law degree from George Washington University Law School in 1983 and have been practicing law ever since. Before law school, I taught Social Problems at the University of Kansas while completing an M.A. in sociology. My law practice includes mediation and settlement facilitation.
I offer My Working It Out! as part of my “non-law”* business, Engaging Conflicts, LLC, through which I train, consult and coach people to handle conflict better. I have two blogs. One is Engaging Conflicts, a Mediate.com Featured Blog. It covers what neuroscience, evolutionary biology, cognitive psychology and anthropology can tell us about conflict and stress, health, and spirit. It's mainly for attorneys and mediators. This website and the My Working It Out! blog are mainly for my fellow friends and colleagues who do not professionally work in the conflict resolution field... people like you!
